Innovative Practice Series

Centering Connection, Healing, and Sustainability in our Work with Children and Families
Join us for a 3-part interactive learning opportunity to explore practical strategies that support connection and healing for families as well as our wellness and sustainability.
This series is intended for direct service providers, coalition advocates, and/or allied professionals who work with or on behalf of children and families who’ve experienced domestic or sexual violence.

What to Expect
The series includes:
- Two 2-hour virtual workshops
- Involving:
- Full group learning
- Small group conversations
- Time to connect through healing centered art and embodied practices that can apply to work
- Involving:
- Optional monthly virtual Community of Practice
- Facilitation from the Vermont Network’s Amy Torchia and Kelli Prescott
Participants can register for one or both virtual workshops, but they MUST attend at least one in order to participate as a member of the virtual Community of Practice. Space is limited and sign-ups are first come first served.
Series Learning Opportunities
Workshop 1: Centering Family Connection and Healing with Children and Families Who Have Experienced Domestic and Sexual Violence

Learn about, experience, and apply tools to support family connection and healing centered approaches with families.
Workshop 2: Centering Connection, Wellbeing, and Workforce Sustainability for Advocates and Allied Professionals Working with Children and Families Who Have Experienced Domestic and Sexual Violence
Tuesday, July 8th, 3pm-5pm EST
Learn about, experience, and try out practices which support our wellbeing and sustainability in our work.
Community of Practice
Tuesday July 29th, August 19th, September 16th and October 21st
3pm-4:30pm EST
This space is designed for advocates and allied professionals to support one another and dive deeper into strategies that center healing and connection for families and support our wellbeing and sustainability.
Participants must be able to attend at least 3 out of the 4 sessions to be eligible.
