Edward Poff
Edward represents victims of domestic violence in divorce, parentage, and relief from abuse matters in the Justice for Victims Legal Clinic. His legal practice is rooted in the belief that survivors deserve the same professional representation and access to the legal system as parties who obtain private counsel. Edward attended the City University of New York School of Law in Queens, where he represented clients in the Immigrant and Refugee Rights Clinic and participated in an advocacy group which led Know Your Rights presentations at local mosques and community groups. Prior to law school he obtained his B.A. in politics at Messiah College, where he interned for the District Attorney in Philadelphia, the Public Defender’s Office in Harrisburg, and the Governor’s Office of General Counsel. Edward has worked as a solo practitioner, as well as at firms in various practice areas including immigration, criminal law, bankruptcy, family law, and real estate litigation. Edward is admitted to practice law in Vermont and New York, as well as before the US District Court in the Southern District of New York. A staunch lover of all things Winter and snow, when not in court you can find Edward stoking the fire at home, cooking in the kitchen, or riding a snowboard in the woods of the Green Mountains.
