CONGRATULATIONS!  We are thrilled to invite you to join the November 2024 cohort of Training for Impact! Please read through the program agreement below. Once you have agreed and we have received your deposit, we will confirm with you and you can make travel arrangements.  Please return your commitment to us by Friday August 23^rd so we can hold your spot in the cohort! 

What’s Included

• A 4-day in-person course, Global Learning Partner’s Foundations of Dialogue Education, held in Waterbury, Vermont followed by two virtual gatherings to be scheduled depending upon cohort availability.

• Hotel accommodations in Burlington, Vermont for the nights of November 11th through November 15th including a shuttle to and from Amplify’s training space in Waterbury, Vermont. If you are traveling a long distance and need to stay one more night on the 15th, please let us know, and we can arrange that for you. If you wish to arrange any additional nights for personal travel, these will need to be arranged with the hotel directly.  Hotel incidentals are not included. 

• Your organization will be eligible for reimbursement for air/bus/train travel and ground transportation to and from the airport.  If you are traveling by car, mileage reimbursement to and from the hotel will also be available.  Per diem at the federal travel rates for meals with ½ day rate for travel days are available for reimbursement.   

Reimbursement Guidelines

• Participants can submit for reimbursement no more than 30 days after the event.  Per diem rates for meals are available here: Per diem rates | GSA  and will be paid within approximately 14 days of submission. 

• Receipts are required for reimbursement for airfare/bus tickets/train tickets and ground transportation to and from airport and but they are not required for food purchases as per diem rates apply.  If you use your own car to attend the event, parking will be covered but mileage to and from the event is unallowed as a shuttle will be available from the hotel. 

Air, train And bus travel  

• You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements to Burlington at your earliest convenience.  Please arrange flights to Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (BTV). 

• Air, bus and train travel is reimbursed for business related travel only. Please book travel at the most economical fare that meets your access needs. Reasonable baggage fees are allowable. No travel insurance, early boarding, or change fees are allowable for reimbursement.  

• Cancellation and/or change fees are not allowable unless necessitated by a change in schedule by the Vermont Network, severe weather conditions, or other extenuating circumstances beyond the individual’s control.

Please use a credit card to pay the $500.00 refundable deposit to be returned upon completion of Training for Impact. If you are not able to complete the program, the Vermont Network will retain your deposit.  Acceptances are not transferrable to others in your organization.  If you are required to drop out due to illness or unforeseen circumstances after October 31st, please contact Bessie McManus at bessie@vtnetwork.org to set up a call to discuss options.
